ALIESHA PULLIAM
Aliesha is dynamic, engaging, and dedicated to bringing joy everywhere she goes. Originally from North Carolina, she joined the US Navy as an Electronics Technician (ET) and deployed right after September 11, 2001 on the aircraft carrier USS John C. Stennis. At the tender age of 19, Aliesha was the lead technician responsible for maintaining the Extremely High Frequency satellite and equipment used for flight deck communications on the carrier. The skills and knowledge Aliesha gained as an ET led her to being selected for a special duty assignment with the White House Communications Agency (WHCA). Aliesha's responsibilities were to travel with the George W. Bush Administration and set up the equipment needed to ensure secure and timely communications were available 24/7, worldwide, for the President, Vice President, First Lady, Secret Service Staff and all other officials as directed. During her time at WHCA, Aliesha joined the recruiting team and traveled to Military bases across the US to encourage other service members to apply for special duty assignments at WHCA. In 2007, Aliesha was instrumental in launching the WHCA Training Academy by designing, creating and validating the curriculum and Learning Management System used by the instructors to train service members on how to conduct the agency's mission including installing, troubleshooting and maintaining all the equipment used for White House Communications.
After 16 years of working for the Department of Defense and the Federal Government, Aliesha joined Microsoft as a Premier Field Engineer. In this role she was responsible for implementing and maintaining Microsoft's Customer Relationship Management (CRM) System for clients in the DC area. Some of Aliesha's dedicated clients included the Peace Corps, the Department of Transportation and FEMA. Throughout her career, Aliesha has been a big proponent of giving back so she quickly joined multiple Employee Resource Groups at Microsoft to participate in their activities supporting nonprofits around the world. As a member of BAM, Blacks at Microsoft, Aliesha launched a Code Academy for the groups' National Capital Area Chapter. Aliesha created the STEM curriculum taught to students in grades K-12 and was a lead instructor teaching that curriculum to students from the National Society of Black Engineers Junior division on campus at Howard University. The program was such a success that the curriculum was shared with BAM Chapters in Charlotte, NC, Dallas, Texas and eventually was used to establish a Code Academy program for the worldwide BAM Chapters to utilize. Aliesha was appointed the Chief of Staff for BAM Worldwide and spent 2 years managing the day-to-day operations, strategic plans, and budget of the organization, all on a volunteer basis.
Thanks to the advice of some supportive Managers and Mentors, Aliesha made a career transition from Engineering to Executive Communications. She managed the internal and external communications requirements for Microsoft's CVPs and VPs which provided opportunities to Host and Emcee global Microsoft conferences and events. Realizing that being in front of the camera is actually her jam, Aliesha auditioned for the acting agency Seattle Talent and was chosen for their Commercial Acting Division. For 2 years Aliesha developed her craft as an Actress & Emcee while working at Microsoft and on December 31, 2022, she departed Microsoft on her own terms to pursue her new found creative career full-time.
Today you can find Aliesha on-stage emceeing women's conferences and non-profit galas, on-set filming commercials and modeling, on a microphone recording voice overs, or on a beach enjoying a much needed vacation.
